KSK Heat Integration
In heat integration, processes that require cooling are linked with those that require heating within a single facility to meet heat and cooling demands internally. The basic principle is therefore remarkably simple, yet all the more efficient for it. There are only minimal losses in efficiency, and the system can usually be implemented using standard heat exchangers. Things get more interesting when it comes to the concrete analysis and creation of a corresponding heat balance. Here, empirical values and the evaluation of design and process parameters are crucial for a technically precise result. At KSK, this comes naturally to us with our own water-cooled components. But heat integration can also be designed and implemented for cooling and heating circuits outside our own industry.
Waste heat utilized.
You can certainly find numerous examples of processes requiring heating in your own plant. The key factors for integrating and utilizing the available waste heat are always the power to be transferred and the temperature level of the circuits to be coupled. Furthermore, it must of course be ensured that the recooling in the process to be cooled is not compromised. So that you too can make the most of the existing waste heat in your plant, we supply custom-tailored, prefabricated stations for heat integration. Of course, we are also happy to handle the connection and commissioning of the stations at your site.
Apply for funding.
The topic of heat integration is covered by many EU, federal, and state funding programs. To accelerate the payback of your new heat integration system, it makes sense to apply for the appropriate grants in advance. But let’s be honest: grant applications are a whole other story. So you don’t have to deal with the details, we work closely with an energy consulting firm in Aachen that handles everything necessary. Interested? Then feel free to contact us directly!
